The Dreamland Stage Company brings the performing arts to your students through a variety of field trips, touring shows, school day matinees and other opportunities.
School Matinees
Expose your students to a meaningful and entertaining shared theatrical experience with a school day field trip to the Nantucket Dreamland. Prior to your visit, you will receive a comprehensive study guide tailored to each specific show. Study guides are based on Massachusetts Frameworks, providing a range of classroom activities you can use to prepare your students to identify relevant themes in the stage work.
The October 2019 School Matinee production of The Diary of Anne Frank for Cyrus Peirce Middle School is scheduled for Thursday, October 11th. And includes a talkback with the cast following the performance.

Workshops
The Dreamland Stage Company offers a variety of both school day and after school workshops. Our staff of professional teaching artists use theater to explore literature through the arts. For more information, please contact laura@nantucketdreamland.org.
During the month of January, A teaching artist from Dreamland Stage Company and Nantucket Television will work with students and teachers at Cyrus Peirce Middle School for our foundational skills series, We are Nantucket. The DSC teaching artist will guide the process from interview to archive as students gain the skills needed to conduct an interview with a subject, resulting in a detailed oral history of the life and times of members of the Nantucket Community. Told through film and narration, the Nantucket Television teaching artist will guide the students through film and editing techniques. The completed, filmed interviews are then presented
